I finished the novel with a face of tears. What a beautiful story! It’s basicly a love story, but it opens more beyond love. Or, we may say, through love, we can see how everyone struggles to fit the world, though the world seems never fit. Desperately, we clinch each other. It’s said in the very begining, “We are each the love of someone’s life”. And maybe, many of us can live on just a little bit of warmth.
Max Tivoli looked like a 70 year old man when he was borned. His appearance became younger and younger as he grew up. All through his life, he was chasing after a girl, and tried all he could do to make her stay. Secrets leak out bit by bit as we read through the pages. Just as you think this is all the book about, you find out more.
